I want to sign-up with De Kleine Wereld. How do I do that?

Sign up You can register with us free of charge and without obligation via our website. You can indicate your wishes and options on the registration form. Once we receive the form, you will receive an automatic confirmation, after which our front office will contact you as soon as possible.

They will review all the necessary information with you and, if necessary, place you on our waiting list. This may happen if there is no immediate availability at the requested location.

After discussing the options, we will have all the information we need to put your child on the waiting list or conclude the contract.

Why am I on the waiting list and what is the expected wait time?

When placing and scheduling children, several factors play a role in placing a child on the waiting list. These include the desired days and start date, the child's age, and cancellations from children already placed. We always consider the staff-to-child ratio. In some situations, children are given priority, such as placing siblings of children already placed. This is our internal waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, we will contact you to further process the contract. We strive to place as many children as possible within De Kleine Wereld.

How do I register my second or subsequent child?

You can register your next child via the website. As soon as we receive your registration, we'll send you a confirmation.

I don't know yet how many days I want and is it possible to take flexible days?

At De Kleine Wereld We believe it is important to offer children a stable environment in which they feel safe.

If you'd like to register your child in advance but aren't sure exactly when you need childcare or how many days you'd actually like, it's best to register your child for the earliest possible date and the maximum number of days you think you'll need. You can always change this with us later when you have a better idea.

Do I get a discount for my second child and does this child have priority on the waiting list?

We do not offer a discount for the placement of a second child. However, siblings of children already placed are given priority on the waiting list. As soon as a second child is registered, we try to accommodate this in the planning. It is important to register a child as soon as possible so that the planning can truly accommodate them, and the feasibility of the request will always be assessed. If a child needs to be placed at very short notice, there is a good chance that this will not be feasible within the schedule. We do our best to accommodate the requests for placement, but it is possible that the requested days on the desired start date are not immediately available. Parents may also indicate a group preference, and we do our best to accommodate this as well, but we cannot offer any guarantees.

Illness, exchange & extra care

How do you handle exchanges and extra days?

You can request additional days or exchange days through our Parent App. The manager or childcare professional at the location can approve a request through the app if there is sufficient space in the group, or reject it if the group size does not allow for an additional child. The parent will be notified of this.

Are there closing days and can you exchange them for another day?

At the beginning of the year and during the intake interview, the closing calendar is communicated via our parent app. We are closed on national holidays and two academy days. For all Closing dates cannot be exchanged for another day of care. The costs for this are calculated in the fixed hourly rate.

This secure portal allows you to manage your reservations, download invoices and annual statements, view or edit information, and view your child's photos and stories 24/7. You can also send messages to the location. You can log in via the "Parent Portal" button on the website or download the corresponding parent app.

You can calculate this on the official website of the tax authorities:

https://www.belastingdienst.nl/rekenhulpen/toeslagen/

Where can I find the LRK number for applying for childcare allowance?

All our locations are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK). To apply for or change childcare allowance, you need an LRK number. This number can be found on the location page for each location.

What is childcare allowance and am I entitled to it?

If you decide to choose childcare or after-school care, you can apply for childcare allowance from the tax authorities. Childcare allowance helps parents cover the costs of childcare. The amount of this allowance is based on your combined gross income and the number of children in your family using childcare.

This contribution also depends on the costs of childcare and how many hours you work as a parent(s).

To be eligible for childcare, there are a number of conditions:

· Resident children are registered at the residential address of their parent(s)

· You as a parent or your allowance partner pay the costs for childcare

· Both parents/guardians work or receive a UWV or municipal contribution under the Childcare Act.

Do after-school care contracts include full-day care during study days and/or school holidays?

All-in BSO contracts also include study and margin days, meaning that holidays and study and margin days are included in the package.

General

If I have a complaint, where can I go?

We do our utmost every day to provide children with the best possible care. Should a situation arise that you feel uncomfortable about, we would appreciate it if you could discuss it as soon as possible. You can do this with the relevant staff member(s) or the (assistant) manager at the location. Our goal is to reach a satisfactory solution together.
We have an internal complaints procedure for handling complaints. For more information, please see our complaints procedure on the website.

Do you work with vertical or horizontal groups?

At De Kleine Wereld we work with different groups. At daycare, we mostly work with vertical groups, which are groups where children aged 0 to 4 are cared for. Some locations also have baby groups and a two-plus group. In these groups, children with a special needs indication are also cared for, and we offer a VE program .

At the after-school care center, we work with both horizontal and vertical groups. During a tour of the facility, the manager will explain which groups are available.
