Preschool care
It's possible that school hours don't align with your work or study schedule. To accommodate this, we offer preschool care through our after-school care program. Here, children can start the day in a relaxed, familiar environment, and our staff will escort them to their classrooms.
We expect the children to have already had breakfast.
The hourly rate for preschool-based care (VSO) is the same as the hourly rate for after-school care (BSO). You can apply for childcare allowance for preschool care.

Our son has been going to this daycare since he was 4 months old. We are super enthusiastic about it. De Kleine Wereld, and the Laing's Nekstraat location in particular! When he was a baby, he even drank and slept better at daycare than at home. He also really enjoyed sleeping in the outdoor cribs (good for health and immunity). We considered the large, sheltered garden a huge plus. Communication is always clear, and fun activities are regularly devised, ranging from musicians playing instruments and toddler yoga to sowing plants in the garden or petting and brushing a Shetland pony. They always come up with something fun, and they work with themes. This is coupled with a solid pedagogical foundation, full of love, attention, and structure. Our son always comes home happy and enthusiastic, which means I drop him off in the morning with peace of mind. There hasn't been a single day that I have dropped him off reluctantly. Highly recommended to every parent who is still exploring their options!”
“Very satisfied with this childcare. Sweet, skilled caregivers. Healthy and hot meals for the children in the afternoon. Beautiful outdoor space for lots of playing, but also 2 gym halls for bad weather. They organize many extra activities for the children, from music lessons with various instruments to yoga and arts and crafts. Highly recommended!”
Very nice childcare, my daughter always comes back neat and cheerful and always enjoys going here. Lots of permanent staff, so there are always familiar faces.

I want to sign-up with De Kleine Wereld. How do I do that?
Sign up You can register with us free of charge and without obligation via our website. You can indicate your wishes and options on the registration form. Once we receive the form, you will receive an automatic confirmation, after which our front office will contact you as soon as possible.
They will review all the necessary information with you and, if necessary, place you on our waiting list. This may happen if there is no immediate availability at the requested location.
After discussing the options, we will have all the information we need to put your child on the waiting list or conclude the contract.
Why am I on the waiting list and what is the expected wait time?
When placing and scheduling children, several factors play a role in placing a child on the waiting list. These include the desired days and start date, the child's age, and cancellations from children already placed. We always consider the staff-to-child ratio. In some situations, children are given priority, such as placing siblings of children already placed. This is our internal waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, we will contact you to further process the contract. We strive to place as many children as possible within De Kleine Wereld.
How do I register my second or subsequent child?
You can register your next child via the website. As soon as we receive your registration, we'll send you a confirmation.
Where can I find the LRK number for applying for childcare allowance?
All our locations are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK). To apply for or change childcare allowance, you need an LRK number. This number can be found on the location page for each location.
