Our regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. During vacations and vacations, our Locations open their doors at 7:30 am.

Our regular opening hours are daily Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. throughout the year, with the exception of our VE Location De Edelsteen , IKC Frankendael and IKC De Horizon which have modified opening hours.
Closing days
De Kleine Wereld is closed on nationally recognized holidays, the days between Christmas and New Year's Eve, and 2 training days, as part of our staff's expertise promotion. These are divided between spring and fall. Each year in December, the specific closing dates are shared with parents through a yearly overview in the parent portal.
The exact times can be found on the rate schedule of the respective Location. If you would like additional or flexible care, please ask us about the possibilities.
Our
Parent
portal
At De Kleine Wereld , our parents make use our digital DKW parent portal. 'In our parent portal we enable parents to keep up to date with developments at the daycare and within the organization'
The parent portal can be accessed both through the browser and through the DKW parent app, and allows parents to communicate directly with childcare in a user-friendly way.
This allows parents and/or caregivers to stay up to date on their child's experiences through photos/videos, messages and diary reports. The parent app also provides insight into the agenda and the possibility to easily request extra days, and important information such as newsletters and messages from the organization and Locations.
Our
rates
Our rates are "inclusive" so you won't incur additional costs. You can think of diapers, bottle feeding, (hot) meals, fresh fruit, dairy and healthy snacks. Trips, homework help and dance classes are also included in the rate.

Applying for childcare allowance is a personal responsibility that must be applied for by both or one of the parents through the tax authorities. De Kleine Wereld is not responsible for this.
If you decide to choose Childcare or Extracurricular Care, you can apply for childcare allowance from the tax authorities. Childcare allowance is an allowance for parents to cover the costs of childcare. The amount of this allowance is based on your combined gross income and the number of children in your family that use childcare.
In addition, this contribution also depends on the cost of care and how many hours you work as parent(s).
To qualify for child care, there are a number of conditions:
- Resident children are registered at the residential address of the parent(s)
- You as a parent or your benefits partner pay the cost of childcare
- Both parents/caregivers work or receive a UWV or municipal contribution under the Child Care Act.

Contracts cannot be temporarily paused
Contracts must be terminated by mail, verbal termination is not possible. De Kleine Wereld uses a notice period of 1 month, termination can be done before the end of the month or before the 16th of the month and the contract will then run until the end of the next month or until the 15th of the next month. It is important to cancel the childcare allowance in time to avoid unnecessary refunds.
Desired changes in contract days can be made via email toplanning@dekleinewereld.nlto .Based on the e-mail, the planner checks whether there are possibilities to change the days and sends a change agreement if there are possibilities.
You register another child through the website. Once we receive the registration in good order, we will send you a confirmation of the registration.
When placing a second child we offer no discount.However, siblings of already placed children do get priority on the waiting list, as soon as a second child is registered we try to take this into account in the planning. It is important to registerIt is important to register a child as soon as possible so that it can actually be taken into account in the planning and we will always look at the feasibility of the request.When a child needs to be placed at very short notice, the possibilitysbig that itit may not be feasible within the planning.We try to meet the placement request as much as possible, but it may happen that the desired days per the desired start date are not immediately available.Parents may also indicate a preference for a group and we also try to accommodate this, but cannot guarantee it.
At the beginning of the year and during the intake interview, the closing calendar is communicated via our parent app.We are closed onnational holidays andtwoacademy days.For all closing dates, these cannot be exchanged for another day of care. The cost of this is calculated into the fixed hourly rate.
At De Kleine Wereld we work with different groups, at the KDV we work mostly with vertical groups, these are groups where children aged 0 to 4 are cared for. There are also baby groups and a two plus group at some locations. In these groups, children with a VVE indication are also cared for and we offer a VVE program .
At the After School Care we work with both horizontal groups and vertical groups. During a tour of Location , the manager will tell you which groups are present.
All-in After School Care contracts also include study and margin days, this means that vacations and study and margin days are included within the package.
Extra days or traded days can be requested through our Parent App. The supervisor or Pedagogical Professional of the Location can approve a request via the app if there is enough room in the group or reject it if the group size does not allow an extra child. The parent will be notified of this.
At De Kleine Wereld , we believe it is important to provide children with a stable environment in which they feel safe.
If you already want to register your child but do not yet know exactly when you want care and how many days you would actually like to purchase, it is wise to register your child as of the earliest possible date and the largest number of days you think you will need. You can always change this when you have more insight into the situation.
There are several factors involved in placing and scheduling children on the waiting list.These are the (combination of desired days and start date, age of the child, and cancellations of children already placed.We always take into account the professional to child ratio In some situations children are given priority such as the placement of siblings of previously placed children. This is our internal waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, we will contact you to finalize the contract. We strive to place as many children as possible within De Kleine Wereld.
You can register with us through the website without obligation and free of charge. In the registration form you can indicate your wishes and possibilities. As soon as we have received the form you will receive an automatic confirmation and you will be contacted as soon as possible by our front office.
They will go through all the necessary details with you and then place you on our waiting list if necessary. This may occur if there is not yet immediate availability at the requested location.
After discussing the options, we will have all the right information to put your child on the waiting list or enter into the contract.
