About work

For our location on Haveneiland In Amsterdam IJburg, we are looking for a pedagogical professional* for the vertical group (0–4 years) for four days a week.

A team that goes beyond the group This team is known for its commitment, and you see that in everything they do. Last year, the children baked cupcakes, sold keychains and suet balls, and organized their own kids' run, all for the Princess Máxima Center. And as if that wasn't enough: the team itself participated in the 538 Run. This is not a team that works alone; this is a team that achieves something together.

What you do
You guide children aged 0 to 4 in their very first discoveries. In our vertical group, the little ones learn from the big ones and vice versa, and you are the constant factor in this. You are creative, enjoy being outdoors, and know how to turn an ordinary day into something special. From a spontaneous moment outside to an activity involving parents, your initiative is welcome.

Small, familiar, and by the water
Our location is small and manageable. You know all the children, all the parents, and all your colleagues. We are situated by the water, with jetties within walking distance, a small park 200 meters away, and coffee shops nearby. By Amsterdam standards, we are truly spoiled.

Directions
Our location is easily accessible by bicycle or by tram directly to IJburg.

*Pedagogical professional is the new name for pedagogical employee, a name that better suits the professionals who work day in and day out for our wonderful profession.

We offer you

A salary in scale 6 between €2.641 – €3.630 gross per month (36 hours, in accordance with the Childcare Collective Labour Agreement), depending on education and experience. On top of that, you will receive an 8% holiday allowance and an 8% end-of-year bonus, as well as a one-year contract.

You'll receive 210 hours of vacation leave per year. Travel is at our expense, €0,23 per km or a full public transport allowance, whichever you prefer. You'll accrue pension with the Healthcare & Welfare Pension Fund.

You can develop through our Development Center, with workshops and training courses of your choice. Once a year, we organize an academic evening, both educational and fun, concluded with drinks. For your vitality, we collaborate with SportCity (free sports) and Hart van de Zaak, and you can access coaching, budget advice, or mindfulness through the well-being platform Empowr.

Do you have children yourself? Then you have priority for a place at De Kleine Wereld and you will receive a 5% discount on the costs.

About your qualities
