Location
Location Juliana is located, in one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam's city center, tucked away on the Oudekerksplein.

You wouldn't easily expect the homey groups, the sea of outdoor adventure spaces and the tranquility at the front door. Juliana - started in 1872 as a "children's shelter" on Warmoesstraat - is Amsterdam's oldest Daycare . Today Juliana, specially designed by Sjoerd Soeters as Daycare, is housed in a new building next to the Oude Kerk.

Group spaces
Inside, there are well-appointed group rooms located at the rear around the playground, while the remaining rooms are located on the street side. All groups have many windows overlooking the courtyard garden, allowing plenty of light. Inside, there is a spacious central hall and all groups are decorated with different play corners and quiet colors that create a homely and cozy atmosphere. There are also different play corners where children can play with a wide choice of play materials. Each group has separate bedrooms and each child has its own bed available.

Outdoor play
At the back is a beautiful round courtyard garden, where children can play with various nature elements and different corners with various play materials. The baby groups also have their own space within the playground where the babies can play outside in peace.

VE

At Location Juliana , we also offer VE Childcare . At the toddler group De Oceanen, toddlers can explore in our special (VE-recognized) toddler groups, where they g explore under the specialized guidance of two (VE) qualified staff members. In the group, in the corridor, in the garden or outside Location: there is something to discover everywhere!

The group is set up so that the child can explore independently which ultimately allows the child to play and learn. There is room to play alone and there are places that encourage interaction. There are open places to play but also corners where a child feels unseen. The distance proximity of a child to a professional contributes to the different phase that play has.
